Day 8 – Trip to East Kololo Primary School
What does it feel like going back in time to your favourite school?
Bharat drove me to my old School, East Kololo Primary School.
I remembered most of the classes I actually spent time in. My last class was Primary seven before I left for England. The buildings are in extremely poor condition needing much repair and work. It used to be one of the best schools..that is no more!
It is my last night in Kampala, and my brother has invited us for dinner at his house. Its been intense but I feel really good about my trip to Uganda. A much needed closure.

Hi everybody whoever has studied in East Kololo Primary School (EKPS).I studied there from 1988-1995.In deed i too miss my primary school as it was the best in Kampala District. I still live in Uganda and am working round the clock trying to locate all Old Boys and Girls of East Kololo Primary School regardless of the years attended there. I miss the school, time there and you all.The school indeed is in a poor state ever since it was transfered to Universal Primary Education (UPE)and the removal of Parents Teachers Associaton (PTA) fee plus sub-standard postings of administrators and teachers.
I would like to have you all on board i.e you contacts like emails telephone numbers of any of you old students still alive.I believe we all have collective responsiblity as we were once taught to revamp the spirit of the school.Where help is needed is help accepted. Some of the students have no jobs just because they have no alumunai to support them achieve that job like references or connection to have a job or other useful stuff.
I shall be very happy to hear from you and other OLD STUDENTS of East Kololo Primary School. After years of long struggle to atleast find someone from my primary school, i now believe that all things are possible where God prevails.
Love you all and God bless you
Best regards

Hi,
I attended EKPS from 1980-1985 when i completed P7. I am informed through the alumini facebook that the school is in such a state of disrepair. I have very good memeories of the school and I left with distictions at the end of P7. I am proud to have been a product of that school.
